NEV stands for New Energy Vehicles refer to vehicles that are powered by Electric energy sources. NEVs are also in category of green energy technology.

Types of New Energy Vehicles:

1. Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs):
   • Fully electric vehicles which runs on rechargeable batteries.

2. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs):
   • PHEV combines engine with a battery that can be recharged by plugging into an external power source.

3. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs):
   • Use both an engine and an electric motor, but the battery is charged through regenerative braking and the engine, not by plugging in.
   • Toyota Corolla Cross, Haval Jolion are examples of HEVs cars in Pakistan.
